The Explanation
One of our favourite sayings here at IKON Church is, “Keep turning up.”
Turning up is so important because it encapsulates the practice of the early church and the church today.
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another - and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
As followers of Jesus, we should make every effort to create a weekly rhythm of being part of a church community. For us at IKON Church, this is outworked around the following practices.
The Practice
Be part of a mid-week connection
For example, a connect group / team / Leadership Academy or something else
Be part of our Sunday gathering
This could be at our morning service at any of our campuses, or the evening service at our Chesterfield campus.
