BUILDING HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS IN THE CHURCH
The Explanation
One of our favourite sayings at IKON Church is, “Healthy things grow.” This is true when it comes to building healthy friendships / relationships in the church.
From the beginning of the Bible to the end, relationships are a central theme and, in particular, God’s desire for us to be in a relationship with him.
God gives us the perfect example of the perfect relationship seen in the Trinity.
God sets up humanity for a successful relationship with Himself and one another.
Humanity’s relationship with God is broken because of its rebellion against God.
This brokenness permeates all of our relationships.
Jesus died to restore our relationship with God and with one another.
The Practice
Join - a connect group / team as this is an easy step to meet new people

Go First - don’t wait to be invited instead, invite someone or some people to meet with you
Practice hospitality - open your heart and your home to others
Have fun - connecting does not need to be complicated; it should be fun as you gather around something you enjoy!
